About the artist

Vanessa Rose Gervais is a self-taught abstract artist. She was born in Montreal, Quebec and now lives in Ottawa, Ontario.

Her journey into abstract art began as a maternity leave passion project in 2021 after the birth of her third son.

​

She uses acrylics, coffee, pastels and other mixed media materials to create her unique paintings.

​

Through the use of colour, texture and layering, she aims to create art that brings a sense of joy and calm to the viewer.
